Following weeks of rumors, Disney has confirmed a January 2008 Blu-ray arrival for the long-delayed Michael Bay action spectacular 'The Rock.'
As we've previously reported, 'The Rock' was subsequently delayed with no new date in sight.
A full seven months later, Disney has finally rescheduled the Sean Connery/Nicolas Cage actioner for Blu-ray release on January 8, 2008.
No supplemental details yet, but the disc's tech specs shouldn't have any trouble delivering the typical Bay bombastic, boasting 1080p video and an uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround track (at 48kHz/24-bit).
Retail will list for $29.99.
Disney says we can expect a full press release with complete details for 'The Rock' shortly. As always, we'll keep you posted.
In the meantime, you'll find preliminary disc details for 'The Rock' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it is indexed under its new date of January 8, 2008.
