It may be premature, but it might be a good time to decide.
Ever since the new PS Vita was revealed, many have expressed interest and concern over the new model's LCD. After all, the original Vita's OLED screen is one of its strongest features, and the switch to LCD for the new model has many declaring the change a cost cutting measure. Of course if it is a cost cutting measure, the savings does seem to make it to the customer. After the recent price drop, the new Vita is priced the same as the old Vita.
As for the comparison image, it is as reliable as taking a personal launch Vita and holding it next to a store display of a new Vita (heavy duty plastic screen protector and all) and snapping a shot with a cell phone.
While not the most accurate comparison, it does lend credence to the idea that getting a hold of an OLED Vita while it is still available and at the new price point may be the smart play. The most promising current classic PS Vita system offering seems to be the 'The Walking Dead Bundle,' which includes a classic Wi-Fi PS Vita, a 4GB Vita memory card as well as Telltale's 'The Walking Dead' with the Bonus episode '400 Days' for $200.
