The single episode is positioned as a link between season 1 and the upcoming season 2.
Among the many revelations of E3 was the announcement of unexpected new episode of Telltale's extremely successful 'The Walking Dead' game. Previously, it had seemed that until season 2 was ready, there would be no new content, but clearly Telltale has found a solution.
From Telltale, "Centered on a truck stop on a Georgia highway, 'The Walking Dead - 400 Days' is a DLC episode for Season One of Telltale's award-winning game series. 400 Days tells five linked stories; each taking place at different points in time and from the point of view of a different survivor from day one of the united apocalypse to day 400. The five stories can be played in any order and will change based on hte choices that you make. Echoes of the choices you made in Season 1 will carry over into 400 Days and the choices you make in 400 Days will resonate into Season 2."
400 Days will be sold as DLC for season 1 on the 360, PS3, PC, Mac and iOS at a $5 price point. Not only is the episode only to be sold as an add-on for season 1, but Telltale recommends that season 1 be played first. As announced by Sony, both 'The Walking Dead' season 1 and 400 Days is coming to the PS Vita.
Telltale's 'The Walking Dead' Episode 1 released in April of 2012, and Episode 5 was released last November. All of season 1 is available from Amazon.
