The date move is to make room for 'Max Payne 3.'
The controversial reboot of 'XCOM' as a first person shooter was supposed to be hitting shelves and potentially enraging fans in March of 2012 but it looks like that's not happening anymore. Take-Two announced that 'XCOM' is being bumped back to fiscal year 2013, which apparently starts in April of 2012.
The change comes from a desire to avoid cannibalizing sales of 'Max Payne 3,' or more likely to prevent 'Max Payne' from completely burying 'XCOM.' Take-Two hasn't announced an official release date yet, but we're guessing a month or so after 'Max Payne.'
