The first dividends being paid for Microsoft's new indie endeavor.
This past week, 'Strike Suit Zero,' an independent PC game, was re-released in a new 'Director's Cut' form on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game puts players in control of a Strike Suit, with colorful, hyper space combat the inevitable result. The game is perfectly capable of standing on its merit, but Born Ready Games' 'Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut' is also significant for another distinction. 'Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut' is the first title to be published under Microsoft's new [email protected] publishing program.
With the [email protected] program in action, enabling indie game publishing on the Xbox One, the indie craze that's producing some of the best games in the industry can begin to take hold of Microsoft's newest console. This may even mean that the Kinect can become an integral of quality indie titles, and ultimately prove more for the accessory than has been grasped at thus far.
