Among the new products is the Fighstick Vs. Edition, which lets you combine two for an arcade cabinet like experience.
Remember back when MadCatz used to be a name synonymous with cheaply made products? Those days are gone, at least when it comes to their impressive arcade sticks and controllers. The latest to join the line are new 'Street Fighter X Tekken' sticks and pads.
Two different arcade stick models will be available from MadCatz, the Fightstick Pro and Fightstick Vs. Edition. The insides of these sticks seem essentially the same - Sanwa parts, a Vewlix-style layout and a heavy metal base. The difference is in the shell. The Vs. Edition sports a sharper, rectangular front instead of the slope on the Pro version. It also gives you the ability to connect two sticks together to emulate the arcade experience. This seems absolutely perfect for the custom arcade cabinet crowd.
For those that prefer a more traditional controller, MadCatz is also bringing the FightPad S.D., a controller that comes in at 15% smaller than the last iteration but with a larger, circular D-Pad. Like the arcade sticks, the FightPad comes equipped with a three way switch that lets the D-Pad control the right analog stick, left analog stick or D-Pad controls.
