Homebrew recreation looks Virtual Boy perfect.
Like it or lump it, but there is still a hardcore fan base looking to support Nintendo's wayward red lensed console. One of those hardcore fans decided that what the Virtual Boy really needed was its own version of 'Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting.' Yesterday, this anonymous fan posted a downloadable demo for his homebrew 'Street Fighter II' convection.
The footage looks so spot on that one might believe that this is a long lost ROM from Capcom, but no, this is the work of not one but multiple crazed Virtual Boy fans. (Credits include "created by Mr. Anonymous and powered by MK's fighting engine. Martin Kujaczynski") Unfortunately, in order to play the demo (and likely the promised final release) an emulator will not cut it, the user needs a flashcart-powered Virtual Boy.
