After two years of build-up, Sony Pictures has officially announced a late-April release date for the blockbuster thriller 'The Da Vinci Code.'
Based on Dan Brown's runaway best-seller, 'The Da Vinci Code' defied both mixed critical reviews and Tom Hanks' unfortunate haircut to emerge as one of 2004's biggest international hits, raking in nearly $800 million worldwide.
Originally expected for a Blu-ray release soon after the launch of the format in 2006, Sony will belatedly release 'The Da Vinci Code' on April 28, timed to prime the pump for the theatrical release of the upcoming sequel 'Angels & Demons.'
There are no tech or supplement specs as of yet, but as always, watch this space.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.
