The hit Glenn Close television series 'Damages' is expected to make its high-def debut this January as a three-disc Blu-ray set.
The FX legal thriller has become one of basic cable's breakout hits following its debut this past summer, with Close earning critical raves as a tough-as-nails litigator who takes on New York's biggest cases. Our friends over at TVShowsOnDVD got the early scoop this morning on Sony's retail announcement for 'Damages: The Complete First Season,' which is set to hit Blu-ray and standard DVD day-and-date on January 29.
With the official details not expected until sometime next week, there are no tech specs as of yet. Supplements, however, are said to include a "Behind the Scenes" featurette, an Interactive Timeline, and the "Civil Law Handbook."
Sony has set a suggested retail price for the Blu-ray at $79.98, a full $30 more than the standard DVD.
We'll keep you posted on complete specs as they're announced, but in the meantime you'll find preliminary disc details for 'Damages: The Complete First Season' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under January 29, 2008.
We've also set up a dedicated thread for this upcoming release in our Forums area -- click the following link to discuss the 'Damages: Season One' Blu-ray release.
