Sony has unveiled specs and box art for 'Untraceable,' which will include extensive special features and a Bonus View picture-in-picture commentary.
As originally reported, Sony announced a May 13 arrival for the Diane Lane serial-killer thriller, due day-and-date with the standard DVD.
Although initial specs indicated only a standard suite of supplements to be shared between the Blu-ray and DVD versions, Sony has now confirmed that 'Untraceable' will include the a Bonus View (aka Profile 1.1) video commentary. Dubbed "Beyond the Cyber Bureau," the track uses new interviews with cast and crew, behind-the-scenes footage, storyboards, and production photos to create an "immersive experience" using the latest Blu-ray technology. (Note that the Bonus View track will not be accessible to those without Profile 1.1-enabled players.)
Previously-announced specs include an audio commentary with director Gregory Hoblit, producer Hawk Koch, and production designer Paul Eads, plus four making-of featurettes ( "Tracking Untraceable," "Untraceable: The Personnel Files," "The Blueprint of Murder," "The Anatomy of Murder")
Tech specs boast 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video, English and French Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio, and additional Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround dubs in Spanish and Portuguese (subtitle options are provided for all languages listed).
Finally, Sony has issued the film's box art:
As previously announced, Sony has set a suggested list price of $38.95 for the Blu-ray.
