The fans have spoken: Sony has unveiled the winner of its 'Adventures of Baron Munchausen' Blu-ray box art competition.
As we've previously reported, Sony held a unique promotion last December, allowing fans to vote (via a special page hosted by Amazon.com) for one of three possible box designs for its upcoming Blu-ray release of the Terry Gilliam cult classic.
Now Sony has revealed the winner of the competition, with fans picking this illustrated take featuring the film's cast of famous characters:
As previously announced, 'Baron Munchausen' will hit Blu-ray April 8 (day-and-date with a new DVD re-issue).
Bonus features shared across both versions are set to include audio commentary with Gilliam and screenwriter Charles McKeown, a two-part documentary ("The Madness and Misadventures of Munchausen," "As We once Dreamed It: Afterthoughts by Terry Gilliam & Charles McKeown"), deleted scenes, and a pair of storyboard sequences.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be the "Marvelous World of Munchausen" enhanced graphics and trivia track.
Tech specs boast 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video, English and French Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio, and subtitle options in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean and Thai.
Suggested retail price has been set at $28.95.
