Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced a May 8 Blu-ray arrival for the romantic comedy 'Catch and Release,' day-and-date with the standard-def DVD version.
Starring Jennifer Garner and Timothy Olyphant, the film failed to make much of a dent at the box office earlier this winter. However, as the latest in a growing wave of "chick flick" releases on high-def (following such recent hits as 'The Holiday' and 'Failure to Launch'), it may find a new audience on Blu-ray.
Sony has not yet announced much in the way of specs for 'Catch and Release,' aside from the usual 1080p transfer and uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround track. But we'll keep you posted.
Retail has been set at $38.95.
We've added a new listing for 'Catch and Release' to our Blu-ray Release Schedule, under May 8. Full details should be officially confirmed soon.
