Sony Pictures has announced its latest "double dip" Blu-ray re-issue, a special edition of the Will Ferrell comedy 'Stranger Than Fiction' due in early February.
Originally released on Blu-ray in early 2007, the Marc Forster directed cult hit will get a retooled version on December 2, when Sony releases 'Stranger Than Fiction (Special Edition)' (timed to coincide with the recently-announced Ferrell comedy 'Step Brothers').
Extras announced thus far are those found on the previous Blu-ray, including five featurettes ("On Location in Chicago," "Actors in Search of a Story," "Building the Team," "Words on a Page," "The VFX of Stranger than Fiction").
Tech specs currently listed on Sony's media website also mirror the previous Blu-ray, with 1080p video and uncompressed PCM 5.1 Surround audio.
We'll keep you posted once updated details are confirmed.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.
You'll find the latest specs for 'Stranger Than Fiction (Special Edition)' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under December 2.
