Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced its first Blu-ray release for the new year, the teen horror thriller 'The Covenant,' which will premiere day-and-date with the DVD release January 2.
Though hardly a huge hit at the box office, the $23 million-grossing Renny Harlin flick will get at least at a few extras on Blu-ray. In addition to 1080p/MPEG-2 video and an uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround track, supplements include an audio commentary with Harlin and a behind-the-scenes feature.
Sony has set a suggested list price of $38.95 for 'The Covenant.'
We've posted full details on the disc release here, and we've also added 'The Covenant' to our complete Blu-ray Release Schedule.
