Sony has officially announced an April Blu-ray arrival for 'First Knight' in a first-ever special edition with all-new bonus features.
As previously reported, Sony had alerted retailers to an April 29 street date for 'First Knight,' day -and-date with a new standard DVD re-issue.
The studio has now confirmed the date and unveiled supplemental details, which see the Richard Gere-Sean Connery starrer receiving a spate of newly-produced bonus features.
Included on the BD-50 dual-layer release will be an audio commentary with director Jerry Zucker and producer Hunt Lowry, an additional "Arthurian Legend" historical commentary, three featurettes ("The Quest For Camelot," "In Shining Armor: Knights-in-Training," "The Creation of a Kingdom"), and a collection of deleted scenes and outtakes.
There are still no tech specs or final box art available yet for the Blu-ray, but we'll keep you posted.
Suggested retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.
