As promised, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment unveiled the full specs for 'Spider-Man 3' on both Blu-ray and DVD this morning, and from the looks of it, this highly anticipated title isn't likely to disappoint fans.
As we originally reported late yesterday, Sony has set an October 30 Blu-ray release date for both the two-disc 'Spider-Man 3' special edition, as well as the 'Spider-Man: The High-Definition Trilogy' box set.
This morning, the studio issued complete specs for 'Spider-Man 3' via press release (which can be read in full here). Among the extensive extras planned are two audio commentaries with the filmmakers, eleven making-of featurettes, bloopers, photo galleries, a Snow Patrol music video and a gallery of TV spots from around the world.
Tech specs for the Blu-ray edition include 1080p video and both uncompressed PCM and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround tracks.
Retail price for 'Spider-Man 3' on Blu-ray is $49.95.
Sony has also announced 'Spider-Man: The High-Definition Trilogy,' a box set containing all three films in the 'Spider-Man' franchise. No additional specs are provided in the press release -- only a retail price of $99.98. We expect further details to be revealed in the coming days. Stay tuned!
As always, you'll find the latest specs for both 'Spider-Man 3' and 'Spider-Man: The High-Definition Trilogy' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, under October 30.
