Say what you will about the specs, there’s no question about the design. Lenovo’s newly launched IdeaCentre Q series is small, simple, and slick.
At a price of $499, the Q700 with built in 320GB hard drive and 4GB of PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM is out to replace your DVR and take their place as your preferred streaming device.
Not a bad system for the price, there are a few sticking points that might make potential buyers think twice. The processor isn’t much, just a Dual-Core E5200. Enough for video and audio certainly, but those looking to run more intensive programs may find it unsatisfactory. The lack of a Blu-ray reader/recorder puts a bit of a damper on the PC as well, though there is an included DVD recorder.
More details as well as further details and pricing are available at Lenovo’s site.
