They'll be using the same RoxioNow platform as Best Buy and Blockbuster.
Apparently the word has gotten around about streaming video. The head honchos are hearing about it and they want it. Conveniently enough, Sonic Solutions is there to give it to them.
Starting this holiday season, Sears and Kmart (who is owned by Sears) will be selling Blu-ray players and other devices that have a new streaming service baked right in. The new service, named Alphaline Entertainment, uses the RoxioNow platform.
This all comes with a bit of a twist though. Apparently Sears and Kmart employees will be setting up the service in the store and walking customers through the process at no additional cost. That way, people are able to go home, plug their TVs in and enjoy.
