Or so says Scott Derrickson, who has been brought on to direct and co-write the film adaptation of 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution.'
Scott Derrickson has previously directed the 'Exorcism of Emily Rose,' and the more recent 'Sinister.' C. Robert Cargill, who worked on 'Sinister,' will serve as the other half of the writing team.
Derrickson described 'Deus Ex' as "a phenomenal cyberpunk game with soul and intelligence."
Aside from referring to "cyberpunk," "amazing action," "tension," and "big, philosophical ideas," nothing specific to the 'Deus Ex' franchise as emerged as a basis for the production.
