If you pick up the 9000 series you’ll be getting both for free, but if not, you may have to shell out an additional $700 to get the full experience.
Looking at 3D televisions? Samsung’s working hard to give you an incentive to pick up theirs. If you grab a 3D capable Samsung set and 3D capable Samsung Blu-ray player, you’ll also be getting a nice starter pack that includes two pairs of 3D Active glasses and a 3D Blu-ray version of Monsters vs Aliens.
If you wish to purchase the kit separately, it’ll run you $350. For the moment, that’s actually not too bad a price for two sets of glasses and a 3D Blu-ray, so if you’re looking to expand to four sets, or if you picked up a non-Samsung 3D TV, this might not be a bad purchase.
The other freebie being thrown in with Samsung TVs is the impressive touch screen remote. Not only is it a slick remote, but it’s able to act as a display too. You can watch video from your television or from a networked computer right on the remote. You can even tune in to a different channel than the one you’re watching.
Though the remote is compatible with a few of Samsungs new lines, it only comes packed in with Samsung’s 9000 line. If you pick up the 7000 or 8000 series LED LCD and Plasma sets, or the C750 CCFL LCD, you can still use the impressive new remote, but you’ll have to shell out $350 to get it.
