Despite rumors to the contrary, the unfinished on-disc DLC is for upcoming free content.
Capcom is known for a lot of things, but in recent months the name is closely associated with on-disc paid content – something that has absolutely infuriated their customers. When ‘Resident Evil 6’ was found to have extra content on the disc, the natural assumption was that this would be a repeat of what we’ve seen before.
As it turns out, Capcom has no plans to ask customers to pay for the content. It’s true that the extra content is for future downloadable content, but Capcom says that that particular piece of DLC, which adds No Hope mode and another playable co-op partner, will be free.
