Promo good 11/12/13 9AM PST- 1PM PST.
While Target is offering a Buy 2 Get 1 free offer on all video games this week, the company's PS4 game offerings will be meager until 8AM Friday morning. In response, Amazon is running their own a Buy 2 Get 1 Free promo that is specific to PS4 launch games and specific to a four hour window on Tuesday from 9AM PST- 1PM PST.
From Amazon, "Promotion Starts on Tuesday 11/12/13 at 9:00am PST through 1:00pm PST or while supplies last. This is a buy 2 get 1 free promotion. Simply add 3 of the select list of PS4 games to your cart. At checkout, use the eight digit promotional code, GR8TNESS. The discount will be reflected in your Order Summary."
Important restrictions include a one copy per title limit and one total promotion per customer. (No three copies of Killzone for example.) No secondary promotion can be applied at the same time. Likewise, all three items must be purchased in a single order. Prospects for getting the games by Friday are good with Amazon's normal shipping options, but the possibility of backorder as with ' Need for Speed Rivals " is quite high.
And these are the applicable games with Amazon links:
Angry Birds: Star Wars - PlayStation 4
It's Angry Birds, which means flinging, combined with the 'Star Wars' license.
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag - PlayStation 4
The PlayStation exclusive content is a limited exclusive and can even be had on the PC version when it launches, still it seems like the PS4 version is the version to get.
Battlefield 4 - PlayStation 4
DICE and EA seem to have set aside the trappings of platform parity with 'Battlefield 4,' but it's a guess at this point how well the online will work for this possible best version of 'Battlefield 4.' Still needs mouse and keyboard support to really stand above the PC version.
Call of Duty: Ghosts - PlayStation 4
Like 'Battlefield 4,' 'Call of Duty: Ghosts' seems technically better on the PS4, but the online is a question mark, and mouse and keyboard support is an annoying omission. The PC version though, is full of detracting factors like the forced 6GB RAM requirement.
FIFA 14 - PlayStation 4
'FIFA' fans are hardcore, and the PS4 version offers that bump in production that while full of sales speak is likely way better than sports launch games of yesteryear.
Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition - PlayStation 4 Standard Edition
While there has not been an Xbox One version announced, the PC version is only $45, and will support fightsticks. The PS4 version may support fightsticks, and if so, makes this version the one to have as it's unlikely the online could be a problem for this old game new platform.
Just Dance 2014 - PlayStation 4
These games must be popular. Ubisoft acts like they are huge and insists that a version be made for the launch of a major new platform.
Killzone: Shadow Fall (PlayStation 4)
Unless you just hate 'Killzone' or are completely disinterested by shooters, 'Killzone' is an exclusive demo worthy title that stands above the rest of the launch line-up.
Knack (PlayStation 4)
'Knack' is family fun that promises to be a very challenging 3D actioner/paltformer if the user turns up the difficulty. Visually, it seems like the budget was blown rendering all of Knack's little pieces, which is technically impressive.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes - PlayStation 4
Also family fun, but with a load of Lego themed Marvel characters that rarely come together to this degree due to licensing issues. Still, it's hard to imagine what the PS4 version will offer beyond the PS3 version apart from a bump in resolution, though a tacit feature addition is possible.
Madden NFL 25 - PlayStation 4
While it's hard to see anyone having waited this long to play 'Madden 25,' the next-gen feature will likely add in features that have been missed on current-gen versions. While the visual upgrade won't be staggering the improved physics should be noticeable.
NBA 2K14 - PlayStation 4
2K Sports really seems to have put serious work into the PS4 version with their OMG visuals, remade systems, new modes The PS4 version is a must-buy for b-ball fans on the PS4.
With the delay of 'DriveClub' EA seems to have nailed the timing of the latest 'Need For Speed' and the seamless multiplayer model seems ideal for next-gen systems. Hopefully, the game will offer wheel support for PS3 wheels, but it isn't a certainty.
Skylanders SWAP Force - PlayStation 4
Along with 'Knack' and 'Lego: Marvel Superheroes,' 'Skylanders SWAP Force' is a good choice for children on the PS4, but if you already own 'SWAP Force' on the PS3 or 360, a whole new starter kit seems excessive.
