'Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition' added to the cash competition.
Joining the ranks of several popular sports titles in the online gambling arena is 'Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.' On either the 360 or PS3, players can bet on themselves as they go head to head for cash. Virgin Gaming handles the matchmaking as well holding all the money, and players pay either a 12% house fee or can buy in for a premium membership and wager to their hearts content, provided they win or have the cash to keep wagering.
Virgin Gaming sets up matches both for similar skills levels and for regional proximity, the latter consideration existing for the sake of reducing lag. There is also a reputation system among other measures meant to combat cheating. None of these measures it seems, make the PC version appropriate, leaving 360 and PS3 owners to schedule and report through the PC while playing on the console.
For those interested in wagering on their street fighting skill, Virgin Gaming accepts Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal.
