The surprise fishy hit sinking its teeth into Blu-ray in January has now been fully detailed!
As previously reported, Sony has planned Alejandre Aja's 'Piranha - 3D' for the Blu-ray 3D format as well as a non-3d Blu-ray release on January 11.
The film is a loose remake of Joe Dante's 'Piranha' already released on Blu-ray as part of Shout Factory's Corman Classics line and stars Elizabeth Shue, Jerry O'Connell, Richard Dreyfuss, and Ving Rhames.
Specs have yet to be revealed, but the 2D version will include: Filmmaker commentary; Deleted scenes with optional commentary; Deleted storyboard sequences; 10 Behind-the-scenes featurettes; Storyboard gallery; and Trailer & TV spots.
Although the 3D version will also include the 2D version, it apparently will only include: Filmmaker commentary and 10 Behind-the-scenes featurettes.
Suggested list price for the 3D Blu-ray is set at $39.95, while the regular Blu-ray is listed at $34.95.
You can find the latest specs for both versions of 'Piranha - 3D' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where they're now indexed under January 11.
