No titles are named, but Warner says there are plenty on the way that are completely new to Blu-ray.
A new deal has come down the pipeline – Warner Bros Home Entertainment will be distributing more than 600 of Paramount's catalog titles on Blu-ray and DVD. That’s a solid chunk of movies and from the sounds of things, quite a few of them will be new to Blu-ray.
"These Paramount catalog titles are the perfect complement to the Warner Bros. library; they will allow us to offer consumers new multi-feature film packages and debut many titles on Blu-ray for the first time," says Warner Home Video president Ron Sanders. "The deal also adds a new energy to our Warner Archive Collection initiative, broadening the selection of rare titles available to consumers on demand."
The deal also gives access to Paramount films on the Warner streaming service Flixter, those these aren't exclusives like the physical media is.
