After grounding the Blu-ray from their next-gen schedule, Paramount has rescheduled 'Top Gun' for a July touchdown.
Originally planned for release on Blu-ray before Paramount announced their switch to HD DVD exclusivity last year, the studio then pulled 'Top Gun' before it made it to store shelves.
Fans long hoping to pick up a Blu-ray copy of the Tom Cruise '80s classic can now mark July 29 on their calendars, as Paramount has confirmed the date for the long-anticipated release.
The studio has not yet announced any tech specs or supplement details as of yet, though the previous HD DVD remained surprisingly devoid of extras. We'll keep you posted.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.99.
As always, you'll preliminary specs 'Top Gun' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under its new date of July 29.
