Steve Carell and Paul Rudd are a couple of schmucks who have a dinner date with Blu-ray this January.
In an early announcement to retailers, Paramount is working on the comedy 'Dinner for Schmucks' for Blu-ray on January 4.
Directed by Jay Roach ('Meet The Parents,' 'Meet The Fockers'), who was awarded Comedy Director of the Decade at ShoWest in 2010, 'Dinner for Schmucks' is the “outrageously funny” (Shaun Edwards, Fox-TV) and heartwarming story of a rising executive (Rudd) who inadvertently finds a way to fast-track his career by participating in his boss’s exclusive dinner party, at which the winning executive brings the biggest buffoon. Enter Barry (Carell), an IRS employee with a penchant for creating historical dioramas with mice, and you have a recipe for one outrageous dinner and “the funniest movie since 'The Hangover'” (ABC 7 News).
The film also boasts an extraordinary supporting cast of comedic talent including Zach Galifianakis ('Due Date', 'The Hangover'), Jemaine Clement (“The Flight of the Conchords”), Jeff Dunham (“The Jeff Dunham Show”), Bruce Greenwood ('Star Trek'), Ron Livingston ('Office Space'), Lucy Punch ('You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger'), David Walliams (“Little Britain USA”), Larry Wilmore (“The Office”) and Kristen Schaal ('Get Him To The Greek').
The Blu-ray features 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: The Biggest Schmucks in the World, Schmuck Ups (Gag Reel), and deleted scenes, as well as Blu-ray exclusive The Men Behind the Mousterpieces, Meet The Winners, and Paul and Steve: The Decision—LeBron James press conference spoof.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray $29.99.
