'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn,' the popular resurrection of Square Enix's premiere MMO, is coming to the PS4 on April 14th. Those that pre-order the standard edition will get early access on April 11th, as well as net both the Mog Cap & Cait Sith Doll minion.
Starting on February 22nd, all PS4 owners can try the 'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn' beta for free. Square Enix has also shared details on the one-way upgrade path for PS3 'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn' owners, "Players who own the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system version of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will be able to transfer their accounts to the PlayStation®4 system version for free starting April 11. Once transferred, PlayStation®4 system players will no longer be able to access the PlayStation®3 system version. To play both versions, a player must purchase the PlayStation®4 system version separately. Additional account transfer details will be announced at a later date."
The standard version is $39.99, while the collector's version is $79.99. (Digital CE is $59.99.) Players can also upgrade the standard version to the digital CE through the "FINAL FANTASY XIV Account Management System, Mog Station." The game comes with a 30 day trial, and is a $12.99 subscription after that.
