No more sprites.
Arc System Works has announced that their new arcade fighter 'Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN' is coming to the PS4 in addition to the PS3. The new 2D fighter is being built using the Unreal 3 engine and has cell-shaded graphics in place of the series' traditional sprites. The game is being directed by series' veteran Daisuke Ishiwatari and is being published by SEGA.
Arc System Works is known more recently for their successful 'BlazBlue' fighting series, which Ishiwatari said was developed while the company took a break from 'Guilty Gear' in part because the series had become "too hardcore for some people."
