Four titles will enjoy Cross-Buy ownership benefits.
In the past, Sony has offered titles on PSN with free Cross-Buy included, meaning that the title could be bought for either the PS3 or PS Vita and played on both platforms. Sony has now announced that a few select titles will be Cross-Buy compatible PS4 a the system's launch.
From Sony, "These are all Cross-Buy games, meaning if you buy it once, you’ll be able to download it for free on any available system. Oh, and one more thing: if you have purchased these games previously on PlayStation Store, they will be available to you when they release on PS4 or PS Vita at no additional charge."
thatgamecompany's 'Flower,' which came out on the PS3 in 2009, is coming to both the PS4 and PS Vita this fall with Cross-Buy. That means that current PS3 owners will automatically receive PS4 and PS Vita versions.
Even older, is 'flOw,' which came to the PS3 in 2007 and is set for the end of November for the PS4 and PS Vita. Again, current PS3 'flOw' owners will automatically get PS4 and PS Vita versions, while new buyers will net the three versions for one price. (No word on the PSP version.)
More recent is 'Sound Shapes,' which was a PS3 and PS Vita Cross-Buy title when released back in 2012 and is coming to the PS4 as a Cross-Buy title at the end of Novemeber.
Along with the three titles that PS3 owners will carry over is one PS Vita title, 'Escape Plan.' Released in 2012, 'Escape Plan' is coming to the PS4 (but not the PS3) in November as a Cross-Buy title.
All of these titles can be bought now with PSN codes, and played on the PS4 later.
