The company has teamed up with Sonic Emotion to provide the technology that allows for the feature.
The folks at Onkyo are getting ready to launch a new sound system that they’re calling iLunar. What sets iLunar apart is its ability to take stereo sound and give you the illusion of a full 3D audio experience, surrounding you with music.
This is accomplished using technology from Sonic Emotion, which started out developing sound tech for large venues but has since managed to scale down their techniques for consumer markets.
“We are delighted to release the new iLunar, which was jointly developed with Sonic Emotion,” says Onkyo CTO Nobuaki Okuda. “We believe we can continue to provide a dynamic listening experience to customers with our iLunar, which features Absolute 3D sound technology.”
