New Line Home Entertainment is kicking off its high-def New Year with the action-fest 'Shoot 'Em Up,' which it will debut on Blu-ray January 1.
Starring Oscar nominees Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti, the crime thriller about a rogue gunman who must protect a housewife from a crazed assassin didn't do a bang up at the box office, scoring a meager domestic gross of just $12 million.
New Line will give the flick another "shot" on January 1, when it debuts the film on Blu-ray day-and-date with the standard-def DVD. (In what is becoming a familiar refrain, the studio is holding off the HD DVD release of 'Shoot 'Em Up' due to region-coding concerns, but will announce a street date for that format sometime next year.)
Tech specs have not yet been set for 'Shoot 'Em Up,' but bonus features are set to include an audio commentary with the filmmakers, the "Ballet of Bullets" documentary, deleted scenes, and the film's theatrical trailer.
MSRP for the Blu-ray version is $39.99.
