The new game will be officially unveiled during the NBA playoffs.
We've been getting tiny glimpses of what to expect from the next entry in the 'Call of Duty' franchise and it looks like we're in for a little taste of the future. A recently revealed video shows the use of a weaponized quadrotor drone – something that's not yet used on the battlefield. This leads to some speculation that we may be seeing the series take a leap forward a few years and going with 'Call of Duty: Future Warfare.'
The 'Call of Duty' website points to a video from YouTube celebrity FPS Russia, who regularly shoots off all sorts of crazy guns and ammunition for the entertainment of his audience. In the video, he's flying a drone like the one teased in the game and blowing plenty of things up with it. There's some contention as to the legitimacy of the weapon in the video, but either way the explosions are way cool.
We'll find out for sure when the game is revealed on May 1st during the NBA playoffs.
