A pair of them offer 9.2 channels while the rest go 7.2. All of them offer 4K passthrough and upscaling.
Yamaha has announced that five new Aventage receivers will be coming to stores this month. Two of those, the $2,199 RX-A3020 and the $1,699 RX-A2020, offer 9.2 channel audio output. Scaling it down a bit, the $1,195 RX-A1020, $899 RX-A820, and $699 RX-A720 all give you 7.2 channels.
All of the new receivers offer 4K passthrough and upscaling of existing content to 4K, whether your source is analog or digital – we're guessing that means you can upscale content from your computer and maybe even streaming sources.
Yamaha says you can expect to see all of these new receivers hit shelves by the end of this month.
