2011 is shaping up as the year of 'The Muppets' with a new movie hitting theaters this winter and a few catalog titles finding their way to Blu-ray in August!
In an early announcement to retailers, Sony is working on 'Muppets From Space' and 'The Muppets Take Manhattan' for Blu-ray on August 16.
Gonzo is contacted by his alien family through his breakfast cereal in 'Muppets From Space' and when he is kidnapped, it's up to Kermit and the gang to rescue him and help reunite him with his long-lost family.
In Frank Oz's solo directorial debut 'The Muppets Take Manhattan,' Kermit and his friends go to New York to get their musical on Broadway only to find it's a more difficult task than they anticipated.
Specs and supplements are still unknown, but each release will be a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack and suggested list price is $19.99.
Fans of the Muppets also won't want to miss Disney's brand-new adventure starring Jason Segel (who co-wrote the screenplay), Amy Adams, and Chris Cooper coming to the big screen on November 23!
