Jeff Nichols' acclaimed drama is bound for Blu-ray in August.
In an early announcement to retailers, Lionsgate is preparing to sling 'Mud' on Blu-ray on August 6.
'Mud' is a coming-of-age story centered around two fourteen-year-old boys who encounter a mysterious fugitive hiding out on an island in the Mississippi. Intrigued by this man, they enter into a pact to help him evade capture and reconnect with the love of his life. Though it is hard for the boys to discern truth from fiction when it comes to Mud, it isn't long until their small Arkansas town is besieged by a beautiful girl with a line of hunters in tow.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Audio commentary with Writer/Director Jeff Nichols; "A Very Personal Tale: Writing and Directing Mud" featurette; "The Arkansas Ensemble: The Distinctive Characters and Cast of Mud" featurette; "Southern Authenticity: Shooting the Real Arkansas" featurette; and "The Snake Pit: The Slithering Costars of Mud" featurette.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $24.99.
