Indie distributor Music Video Distribution (MVD) has announced their high-def debut with the December HD DVD bow of 'Method Man: Live from the Sunset Strip.'
Over the past several years, MVD has carved out an eclectic niche on standard-def DVD with a variety of theatrical and music video releases. Although they've stayed on the sidelines of the high-def format war until now, the December 11 bow of 'Method Man: Live on the Sunset Strip' on HD DVD will mark the company's first next-gen release.
MVD has not yet announced plans for Blu-ray support.
Specs for the 72-minute concert film include 1080i video (codec TBA) on a HD-15 single-layer disc. There will be no bonus features on the disc. At press time, audio details were unavailable.
MVD has set a low $19.98 list price for 'Live from the Sunset Strip.'
