'Ground Zeroes' is a story prologue and tutorial for 'The Phantom Pain.'
As the 'Metal Gear' saga continues, Hideo Kojima's ability to hype while obfuscating the series next installment seems to be reaching an all-time high. As it stands 'Metal Gear Solid V' will be divided into two parts, 'Ground Zeroes' and 'The Phantom Pain.' The first part, 'Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes' is not set for March 18th, and will (at least initially) be released on four platforms, the 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4.
Recently, Kojima indicated what already seemed to be the case, 'Ground Zeroes' is meant to be both the prologue and tutorial for 'The Phantom Pain.' Kojima went further though, and described the playable area for 'Ground Zeroes,' a military base, as being only a fraction of the hundred times larger 'The Phantom Pain' playable area.
Another solid detail for 'Ground Zeroes' is its platform specific bonus missions. The 360 and Xbox One versions will feature the Jamais Vu mission, which revolves around Raiden taking out "enemy bioroid Snatchers."
Meanwhile, on the PS3 and PS4 versions, the Déjà Vu mission is set in the PS1 era world of 'Metal Gear Solid.'
