Lionsgate has revealed specs and box art for the high-def release of 'Mad Men: Season One,' due this July on Blu-ray as a fully-loaded special edition.
As previously reported, Lionsgate issued a Blu-ray street date of July 1 (day-and-date with the standard DVD) for the award-winning AMC original series, but final specs were still scarce.
Now, TV Shows on DVD has the scoop on the contents of the Blu-ray box set. Extras shared with the standard DVD include cast & crew audio commentaries on all 13 episodes, three behind-the-scenes featurettes ("Establishing Mad Men," "The Desire of the American Dream," "Score Mad Men"), the "Pictures of Elegance" still gallery (with optional commentary from the costume and production design teams), and a "Mad Men Music Sampler."
Tech specs will see the complete 616-minute first season spread across three BD-50 dual-layer discs, with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround audio (plus English and Spanish subtitle tracks).
Finally, Lionsgate has issued a preview of the Blu-ray's box art:
