The action-packed sci-fi adventure will morph to both formats in June.
In an early announcement to retailers, Lionsgate is preparing Power Rangers for Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray on June 27. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray will feature Dolby Vision HDR, making it the first title from Lionsgate to offer both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
The epic adventure, Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, the unlikely group of teenage heroes are the only ones who can save the planet, but first, they have to band together in order to harness their super powers and become Power Rangers.
The Ultra HD Blu-ray will feature 2160p video with Dolby Vision and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Supplements will include:
- Audio Commentary with Director Dean Israelite and Writer John Gatins
- Deleted/Alternate/Extended Scenes
- Outtakes
- "The Power of the Present" Documentary
- Theatrical Trailer with Audio Commentary by Director Dean Israelite
