Digging deep into their back catalog, Lionsgate Home Entertainment will bring the indie cult comedy 'Waiting...' to Blu-ray this summer.
Though the little-seen comedy registered barely a blip at the box office during its brief 2005 theatrical run, its all-star cast of rising stars -- including Ryan Reynolds, Justin Long, Anna Faris and Dane Cook -- has helped earn it a small but devoted cult following.
Lionsgate will bring the film to Blu-ray on July 17 with some impressive tech specs. The disc will include a new 1080p transfer, plus an uncompressed PCM track in 7.1 surround -- still a rarity for both next-gen formats.
Supplemental details have yet to be announced, though preliminary info from the studio indicates a BD-50 dual-layer release, suggesting a healthy package of extras.
Lionsgate has set a $29.95 list price for the release.
We've added the latest specs for 'Waiting...' to our Blu-ray Release Schedule, under July 17. Stay tuned for complete details, including box cover art, in the days ahead.
