Lionsgate says Larry the Cable Guy will return to Blu-ray this June with his latest spoof, 'Witless Protection.'
Barely scraping up $4 million in box office during its brief theatrical run earlier this year (and currently earning the dubious rank of No. 9 on IMDB's All-Time Worst Movies list), 'Witless Protection' will hit Blu-ray June 10, day-and-date with the standard DVD. (It also marks Larry's second Blu-ray appearance, following Lionsgate's release of 'Delta Farce' late last year.)
Extras shared between both versions include a suite of three featurettes ("Making Witless: 'The Cast on the Cast,'" "Larry's Use of the Analogy," "The Musicians of Witless Protection"). Exclusive to the Blu-ray is an additional featurette ("A Cast of Critters"), the "Die Laughing!" Blooper Reel, and deleted & extended scenes.
Tech specs boast 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 7.1 Surround audio.
Lionsgate has set a suggested retail price of $39.98 for the Blu-ray.
