Lionsgate has announced an early-September bow for the Jackie Chan-Jet Li actioner 'Forbidden Kingdom.'
Marking the first big-screen collaboration for the legendary superstars, 'The Forbidden Kingdom' earned over $25 million at the domestic box office earlier this year. Lionsgate will debut the Blu-ray on September 9, day-and-date with the standard DVD.
Tech specs include a BD-50 dual-layer presentation in 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video, with a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 7.1 Surround track.
The studio has yet to issue any supplemental details, aside from including a Digital Copy of the film playable on portable video devices. However, Lionsgate is billing the Blu-ray as a special edition, so we expect to have specs on the bonus features shortly.
Suggested retail has been set at $39.98.
You'll find preliminary specs for 'Forbidden Kingdom' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under September 9.
