Announcing its first live-action direct-to-high-def release, Lionsgate has set a March debut for 'National Lampoon's Van Wilder: Freshman Year.'
A video premiere sequel to the 2002 cult comedy, 'Freshman Year' sees a new cast (sans original Van Wilder Ryan Reynolds) up to the same old amorous collegiate hijinks.
Lionsgate will debut the Harv Glaser-directed pic on March 17, day-and-date with the standard DVD
Bonus features will include audio commentary with Glazer and cast, multiple featurettes ("Creating the Legend: The Making of Van Wilder: Freshman Year," "Going Balls Out: Colossus," "Coolidge College: Orientation Video," "Decatur," "Teacher's Pets," "Van's Party Supplies," "Pranks 101"), a blooper reel and trailers.
Tech specs will see an unrated cut of the film spread across a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.0 Surround audio.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.98.
