Lionsgate has unveiled final specs for '3:10 to Yuma,' which will gallop to Blu-ray this January with a battalion of features, including the studio's second Profile 1.1 compliant PiP video commentary.
As we've previously reported, Lionsgate recently announced a January 8, 2008 Blu-ray debut for the hit Russell Crowe-Christian Bale western, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD. Now the studio has released final details for the disc, which is set to include an extensive array of bonus features sure to please fans.
Lionsgate's latest Blu-ray title to boast a true picture-in-picture video commentary, '3:10 to Yuma' will feature "Inside Yuma," a behind-the-scenes exploration of the film featuring director James Mangold. Also exclusive to the high-def version will be four featurettes ("A Conversation with Elmore Leonard," "The Guns of Yuma," "Sea to Shining Sea" and "3:10 to Score" with composer Marco Beltrami), and the "Historical Timeline to the West" subtitle trivia track.
Extras shared between the Blu-ray and DVD include the "Destination Yuma" documentary, "An Epic Explored" and "Outlaws, Gangs & Posses" featurettes, deleted scenes, and the original theatrical trailer.
Tech specs are equally impressive, with the disc boasting 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and a full-blown uncompressed PCM 7.1 Surround track (48kHz/24-bit).
Suggested retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.98.
