Today's launch of 'Resident Evil 6' for the PC teases the crossover.
Capcom, normally busy devising new ways to overwork their employs while aggravating their fans, has struck up a collaboration with Valve, who has been occupied getting players to make hats and finding new ways to inject 'Steam box' into a faux business plan. The collaboration is framed through the 'Vs' or 'X' line of games. This time around though, we are talking free DLC for 'Resident Evil 6' and 'Left 4 Dead 2' as the components of the 'Resident Evil 6 X Left 4 Dead 2' mash-up.
With 'Resident Evil 6' launching for the PC today, Capcom has released footage of the 'L4D2' crossover. Six 'L4D2' charecters will make their way over to the Mercenaries mode in 'Resident Evil 6,' including four survivors, Coach, Nick, Ellis, and Rochelle and two series enemies, the Witch and the Tank (but only a mini version.) The extra content is scheduled to be available April 5th.
The crossover has only been announced for PC versions of the games. 'Left 4 Dead 2' is going to receive Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogroman at some point soon.
