In addition to the high resolution picture, the TV packs 3D capabilities and a 2.2 channel speaker system.
LG’s new 84LM9600 would be impressive if it were simply an 84 inch 3D HDTV. We’d be more than willing to drool over the picture and sheer size of this beast, but there’s even more to it than that. LG’s set boasts an Ultra High Definition resolution – 3,840 by 2,160.
3D fans will be able to take advantage of the high resolution to get a 1080p picture while still using passive technology 3D. Of course, you’ll want a native 4K source to experience this, but an upscaling receiver will get you close enough to notice the difference.
The TV also boasts a 2.2 channel speaker system, with a pair of 10 watt speakers paired with 15 watt woofers. You know, just in case you had to sell your speakers to swing the price of the 84LM9600.
