New projector models have been revealed.
LG has announced the latest additions to its Minibeam projector lineup. The new models include the PH550, PW1000, and PW1500.
"With more variety than ever before, LG Minibeam projectors offer enhanced portability with wireless connectivity for an enjoyable viewing experience anytime, anywhere. We look forward to officially unveiling the newest LG Minibeam series at CES 2016," said Brian Kwon, President and CEO at LG’s Home Entertainment Company.
The latest Minibeam LED projectors feature slim, one-hand grip designs for portability. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity are included as well. The PH550 also features a rechargeable internal battery for triple wire-free connectivity with 2.5 hours of playback. In addition, the projector offers 550 lumens of brightness. Meanwhile, the PW1000 is rated for 1,000 lumens of brightness and the step-up PW1500 is rated for 1,500 lumens.
Beyond its new Minibeam lineup, LG has also received a CES 2016 Innovation Award for its currently available PF1000U Ultra Short-Throw LED Home Theater Projector. The 1080p DLP projector features LG's Triple XD Engine and uses a self-emitting RGB LED illumination system for a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours. Likewise, the device has a contrast ratio of 150,000:1 and is rated for up to 1,000 lumens of brightness. Thanks to the model's ultra short-throw technology, the PF1000U is capable of projecting up to a 100-inch image from just 15-inches away.
LG's new Minibeam projectors are expected to launch in the first quarter of 2016. All of the new models will also be on display at LG's booth during CES 2016 from Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas.
