Two new powered speaker models have been detailed.
Klipsch has announced the latest additions to its Reference Powered speaker series. The new models include the Klipsch Reference R-28PF powered floorstanding speakers and the Klipsch Reference R-14PM powered monitors.
"We've taken the complication and guesswork out of premium home audio. These powered speakers combine the bold sound Klipsch is legendary for with the easiest set-up and use on the planet," said Andre LaRouce, director of product development, integrated systems for Klipsch Group, Inc.
The powered speakers support a wide range of audio sources via integrated digital, analog, and wireless inputs, allowing simple playback without the need for speaker wire or external electronics like a receiver. In addition, the units feature a 24-bit/192kHz digital-to-analog converter (DAC), RIAA-equalized phono pre-amplifier, a subwoofer out, and Bluetooth connectivity. The Reference R-28PF floorstanding speakers use dual 8" copper spun magnetically shielded IMG woofers, 1" linear travel suspension (LTS) in Tractrix horns, and a bi-amplified ultra low-noise 260W amplifier to provide a complete 2-channel stereo speaker system. Meanwhile, the Reference R-14PM powered monitor speakers use a 4" copper spun magnetically shielded IMG woofer, ¾" LTS tweeters in Tractrix horns, and an individual ultra low-noise 80W amplifier.
Here's a full rundown of key specs and features per Klipsch:
- 260W total system power (R-28PF) / 80W total system power (R-14PM)
