USPTO cites "likelihood of confusion" with trademark for 2005 Fox TV Show.
The official letter from the United States Patent and Trademark Office states that Microsoft has within six months of November 29 to respond and goes into some length to explain that television shows and video games such as 'The Sopranos' and 'NCIS' "may emanate from a single source under a single mark," and that "evidence shows that television shows are commonly made into games."
It was Microsoft who initially announced the renewal via PlayXBLA back in September without providing any further information, inciting speculation that 'Killer Instinct' may be headed to the 360 platform in one form or another.
